Elliot A. del Borgo (born on October 27, 1938 in Port Chester, New York) is an American composer for winds and strings. He is also in demand as a guest conductor. Though Del Borgo's primary instrument is trumpet, his love of percussion is apparent in his works, which typically focus around intricate percussion parts and an immense variety of instruments and complex rhythms. His style of writing has a rhythmic, sometimes atonal quality.

Del Borgo holds degrees from the State University of New York, Temple University and the Philadelphia Conservatory, where he studied with Vincent Persichetti. An award-winning member of ASCAP, former Professor of Music at the Crane School of Music, and composer of music for 1980 Olympic Winter Games in Lake Placid, much of Del Borgo's work is available from several leading publishers.

Mr. Del Borgo taught instrumental music in the Philadelphia public schools and the Crane School of Music, where he held teaching and administrative positions from 1966 to 1995. He is a frequent consultant, clinician, lecturer, and adjudicator in the United States and abroad. Mr. Del Borgo is an internationally known conductor of bands and orchestras.

In addition to his music for the 1980 Olympics in Lake Placid, he has published over 600 compositions for a variety of media. His music reflects the aesthetics of 20th-century musical ideals through its eclectic nature and vigorous harmonic and rhythmic style.

On November 19, 2011, Del Borgo conducted the Region IX Junior High Symphony Orchestra in the Houston area. There at Klein Forest High School, he conducted three pieces: one was Russian Sailors' Dance by Reinhold Gliere, the other two were selections he composed himself, Meditation and the Variants on a Shaker Hymn.
